Blue Lagoon and Comino

If you enjoy swimming, then your trip to Malta wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the small island of Comino, which is found between Malta and Gozo. With its crystal clear waters and plethora of caves, it’s got to be one of the most beautiful places in the archipelago. Comino is also worth a visit in winter, and is ideal for walkers and photographers.

Apart from the outstanding Blue Lagoon, there are two fine bays on the north of Comino where the crystal clear waters make them also an ideal choice for bathing and most kinds of water sports, especially diving and snorkelling. Santa Marija Bay, the more easterly of the two, is overlooked by the Comino Hotel’s holiday bungalows and the quaint red police station. The other, St. Nicholas Bay, is adjacent to the Comino Hotel complex itself.
