Dinghy Sailing

Dinghy sailing is a popular activity around the Maltese islands. The dinghy, a small boat, allows the sailor to take to the sea independently, learning a number of important nautical skills along the way.

Conducted by RYA instructors, Dinghy Sailing Courses are available. Using a range of state of the art sailing dinghies tailored to students' level and skills, these courses consist of four half-days (3.75 hours) a week.

Students will learn safety procedures, wind direction, various knots, rigging and unrigging, dinghy handling, orientation practices, stopping, changing direction, catching the wind and gaining speed.

The course includes both theoretical work and hands-on practice.

Availability:

All year round (weather permitting).

Suitability:

Minimum age - 10
Participants should be able to swim

4 Half days (15 hours) - Course

2 Hours - Taster

Included in Price:

All equipment including wet suit (when necessary) and buoyancy aid is provided.

Transport:

Transport included with the course.

Transport can be booked with the taster session
