Discover Rock Climbing in Malta

The rocky Maltese islands offer a wealth of locations for all types of rock-climbing – sport, trad, deep water soloing and sea level traversing. Malta's extensive limestone cliffs stretch along the entire south coast of the island. Other locations also include picturesque inland valley and crags which are extensively featured with pockets and cracks, just perfect for rock climbing.

We offer rock-climbing to adventure-lovers of all ages and abilities. A taster session or basic course will introduce you to this exhilarating sport while our guided activities will challenge you and help you improve your skills and confidence.

Our professional trainers are passionate climbers who have not only climbed extensively throughout the islands but are also experienced international climbers.

On this half-day taster session an experienced instructor will introduce you to this enthralling sport and lead you safely up a rock face. You’ll feel a real sense of pride and achievement once you’ve completed your first climb. What a wonderful thing to tell your friends about when you get home! Subject to fixed dates only.

Guided Rock Climbing (half or full day)

Alpha Adventures guiding service offers half or full-day climbing experiences in Malta. This is your opportunity to challenge yourself or experience something new. Popular choices include sea cliffs, multi-pitch, deep water soloing, sea level traversing, trad climbing and learning to lead.

Just let us know your preferences and your current sports climbing grade and and our experienced and qualified instructors will take you on a climb that is perfectly suited to your abilities and experience.

Alpha Adventures supports the development of rock climbing in Malta – we donate EUR 1.00 from each climbing session booked to the MRCC Bolting Fund that helps equip and maintain new and existing routes.
