This activity offers visitors the unique opportunity to snorkel in a floating ‘seaquarium’ with Bluefin Tuna just off the shore of St. Paul’s Bay. Bluefin tunas are a large and beautiful species of fish that are common to the Mediterranean. This is a rare opportunity, only available in Malta, to snorkel so close to these amazing creatures.

The Tuna fish are between 80 to 150kg and there are about 900 in the pen! Towards the end of summer the fish can reach up to 500kg! The trips are timed around feeding time so that your group can throw the food (frozen fish) to the tuna, and the tuna will swim right to the surface (very fast) to take the food. This is a pretty exhilarating experience.

Visitors can choose to either snorkel or dive with the fish. Masks and snorkels are provided on-site if you don’t have your own. The trip (including speedboat ride) lasts around two hours and includes time in the water with the tuna. But don’t worry - they won’t bite, even if you get the chance to feed them. This is a fishy experience you will love!
