The Three Cities & Wine Tasting Tour

Directly adjacent to the capital city of Valletta, across the Grand Harbour, lies three fortified cities called Cospicua, Vittoriosa and Senglea. Collectively they are known as “The Three Cities” and on this excellent half-day tour you will get the chance to see all three of them, as well as sample some superb local wine.

After your coach picked you up you will head towards the Three Cities to discover their historic past by catching a glimpse of some and walking around the narrow streets of others. After time here you are back on the coach to Marsovin Cellars in Marsa, one of the largest wine producers on the island. The wine-tasting tour will begin on your arrival where you will witness some original wine-producing artefacts and learn about the whole wine-making process from grape to bottle.

You will get the chance to walk through the four hundred year-old cellars and wind up by sampling some of Marsovin’s hard work in its wine bar, where trained staff will share their expertise with you as you taste each wine. A selection of local savouries will be on offer, like Maltese cheese and bread, to help you enjoy the wine at its best.

Thereafter, should you wish to, you can buy some of the wine in stock. As the wine tour comes to end you will board the coach to head back to your drop-off destination, feeling very satisfied after your cultural day out.
