Hiding away in Salina, on the outskirts of St. Paul’s Bay, Bird Park Malta is one of the island’s best kept secrets! It is home to an array of over 200 spectacular birds and animals from around the world. Resident birds include pelicans, flamingos, storks, owls, swans, cranes and parrots which thrive happily with a diversity of animals that includes kangaroos, wallabies, meerkats, lemurs, antelope, deer, marmosets and snakes.
Visits to BirdPark Malta are very much an interactive experience. Join one of the guided tours and you will and you will have the opportunity to touch, hold and interact with some of the friendly birds, mammals and reptiles. Under careful supervision of the animal keepers you will be able to join in the daily interactive sessions and handle a barn owl or parrot and learn firsthand about the beautiful creatures that make our world such an interesting place. Discover their fascinating habits, unique calls and songs, learn about their territory and pair formation, their nests and eggs, migration and more. If the timing is right you’ll be able to observe the keepers feeding the animals. Feel free to ask them any questions you might have - they are very happy to share their knowledge and experience with you.
