Many people go wild in Malta but if you want to get in touch with the island’s wildlife, then this excursion is definitely for you. After a comfortable coach journey to Mtarfa, close to Mdina and Rabat, you will have the chance to stretch your legs on an informative 3km nature walking tour of Chadwick Lakes, taking in the abundant flora and fauna that the freshwater ecosystem provides. An experienced English-speaking guide will be on hand to show you the finer points of this fascinating habitat. Thereafter your coach will pick you up from Mosta Valley and take you through Mgarr and Pwales Valley to Xemxija Heights, where you will walk through a man-made woodland, exploring the indigenous plant species along the way, as well as learning about the Roman tombs and early farming methods. At the end of this walk you will stop to enjoy a mouth-watering organic lunch and wine with farmer Joe. He will prepare you some delicious Maltese coffee and give you an interesting talk about local organic farming and the region’s biodiversity. After lunch, you will be transported to l-Ahrax tal-Mellieha to see the breath-taking panorama of Mellieha Bay with its cliffs and rocky shores and its wealth of natural habitats for plant life. It is then time to head back to your drop-off point but first you will have a photo-stop at the Red Tower with its scenic views of the countryside. See Malta like no other tourist and book today for a walk on the wild(life) side.
